The Ngwesi houseboat is moored at a different location each night and tender boats are used to explore the channels and lagoons in the area for fishing. Fishing is popular on the Okavango River which is home to about 80 species of fish, including 11 kinds of bream, two types of barbel, African pike and the famous fighting tigerfish.
As you will dictate the pace and the activities, this safari is ideal for any fisherman.

The Ngwesi House Boat is named after the Tiger Fish found in abundance in the Okavango Delta. Moored in Shakawe, the “Ngwesi” Luxury River Boat, consists of a upper and lower deck. It is a 40ft x 20ft Houseboat on pontoons with outboard engines.
The lower deck consists of 4 luxurious en-suite cabins. Glass sliding doors in the cabins allow for spectacular views of the river. The upper deck is under cover and is used for dining and socialising. The wooden bar is also situated on the upper deck.

A three course dinner is enjoyed on onboard the Ngwesi upon your return.

The Tiger Fish is Africa's most popular angling species. During the peak season which is in the months of August to December, the Okavango waters provide excellent catches of Tiger Fish. Other species caught are African Pike, Bream and Catfish. All fishing equipment is provided on board the houseboat, but you are welcome to bring your own.
Mealtimes and sundowner trips are very special on board the Ngwesi.
